With the growing complexities of pet care in mind, Purina wanted to create a companion app that would reward pet parents for reaching their activity, care, and feeding goals.

My design marked a bold shift from Purina’s familiar brand aesthetic and was well received during the development of the initial app concept. Many planned features would have been completely new to the category, but a change in the physical product strategy led to the digital product being redirected. The original app concept was ultimately shelved in favour of a new approach.

The interface and experience were brought more inline with Purina global brand guidelines, while still allowing for some minor breaks from convention.
